Circles drops on January 17th.
Mac Miller’s family recently announced that his first posthumous album, Circles, will be arriving on January 17th. Today, his camp has delivered the first taste of what’s to come on the new single, “Good News.”
Impossible to not have a sentimental feeling given the emotional weight surrounding the release, Mac’s writing on “Good News” paints a transparent self-portrait of his then-current psyche. From swallowing difficult truths to accepting his own limitations, Mac’s new single reminds us of the very reason why he’ll be so dearly missed: a true gem in a sea of vanity, Mac was, and is, a beacon of truth balancing the murky industry waters.
A medley of melancholy and uplifting vibes structure the tranquil instrumental, and bode for a strong posthumous album release come January 17th.
