The NBA Trade deadline has come and passed.  Below is a list of the two major moves that went down since the All-Star game

* Three Team Deal involving the Wizards, Lakers, and Cavaliers

Cleveland gets: Antawn Jamison, Sebastian Telfair

Washington gets: Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Al Thornton

Los Angeles gets: Drew Gooden

OUTCOME: This is a great deal for the Cavs, who have been looking for a true #2 for LeBron since Shaq hasn’t been his old self most of the season.  After flirting with the Suns and Amar’e, the Cavs went with Jamison who has been having a career year and will be a big jolt of energy for a team that is so good it doesn’t even need it.  I think this makes the Cavs instant favorites to win the East (as if they already weren’t).  For Washington and L.A., both needed cap space for this summer’s impending doomsday free agency period, so this deal works in their favor in the long term.

* Three Team Deal involving The Knicks, Rockets and Kings

New York gets: Tracy McGrady, Sergio Rodriguez

Houston gets: Kevin Martin, Hilton Armstrong, Jordan Hill, Jared Jefferies, The right to swap first round picks with New York in 2011 and the Knicks first round pick in 2012.

-Sacramento gets: Carl Landry, Joey Dorsey, Larry Hughes

OUTCOME: The Knicks finally made a big move for a scorer, the thing they’ve been missing the most the past few seasons.  How Knee-Mac (excuse me, T-Mac) plays one he arrives in NYC is a different story, but for now it’s a big hype builder for the Knicks with a low risk factor since his contract has a team option for next year which the Knicks will likely decline if his play has truly deteriorated.  The winner of this deal though, is Houston, who gets the amazing Kevin Martin on top of multiple former first round picks and two future first round picks from the Knicks.  The Knicks must realize that they won’t need to draft well if they have LeBron and Chris Bosh for the next few years…
