The Denver Nuggets’ star forward, Carmelo Anthony who also moonlights as La La Vasquez’s baby-daddy will be watching his teammates from a far tonight as the Nuggets duke it out with the Detroit Pistons.
The gold medal winner from this past summer’s Olympics will be serving a one game suspension due to an “in-game transgression.” In layman terms: He failed to come out of the game when Coach George Karl wanted him to during a loss to the Indiana Pacers Sunday night.
“There is a code of conduct that we take very seriously, especially from a leader and co-captain,” Rex Chapman, vice president of player personnel, said Monday.
“Carmelo knows this and regrets what happened. He is a very competitive person and made a poor decision in the heat of the moment. We look forward to having him back on Thursday, and will have no further comment at this time,” he continued.
Well, there’s nothing wrong with an extra day off every now and then, but this isn’t his first offense.
Hopefully when he’s sitting in his mansion tonight, La La will be talking some sense into him, because you definitely know these suspensions are cutting into her allowance…
