After circulating on the underground and more niche hip-hop pockets, $NOT is finally getting the respect and awareness that he deserves. Last week, he released a Flo Milli-assisted single, “Mean,” which also received a Cole Bennett-directed visual. Today, he’s back with a helping-hand from Denzel Curry on “Sangria.”

Produced by Powers Pleasant, “Sangria” is a woodwind-accented enigmatic instrumental that recruits menacing flows and verses from $NOT and Denzel. And while they each tackle the beat with aplomb, they do so in highly distinct ways: $NOT imparts a woozy whisper; Denzel delivers a galvanizing punch.

“Sangria” will be featured on $NOT’s upcoming album, Beautiful Havoc, dropping this Friday.
