Featuring releases from Tory Lanez, MihTy (Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign), Mick Jenkins, and Takeoff.

It’s that time of week again: time for some new music to ring in the weekend. Today, we’ve got albums from Tory Lanez, Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign, and Mick Jenkins; Takeoff also came through with his The Last Rocket debut single, “The Last Memory”.

Tory’s release, Love Me Now, is his second full-length album of the year, succeeding Memories Don’t Die, and comes in at 15-tracks, 48-minutes. Reflecting the respect Tory’s garnered from his peers over his career, Love Me Now is engorged with A-list features: Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Rich The Kid, Lil Baby, and Bryson Tiller aren’t even half of the supplemental artists selected. Released through Interscope Records, Love Me Now is another sound addition to Tory’s growing library.

Teased for some time, Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign have finally made good on their collaborative release, MihTy. An example of what occurs when two of the game’s hottest hook purveyors collide, MihTy is a sonically-addictive trapsoul melting pot, recruiting features from French Montana on “FYT” and Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa on one of the album’s singles, “Surrounded”.

Mick Jenkins has become a lyrical darling, placing a premium on one of hip-hop’s increasingly less emphasized cornerstones. Mick’s second full-length album, Pieces of a Man follows his 2016 The Healing Component, and, despite always appearing like an old soul, showcases a more polished, mature Mick than we’re used to on his earlier work. Pieces of a Man is an introspective body of work, placing Mick’s deepest thoughts and emotions on wax for listeners to sink deeper and deeper into with each listen.

Lastly, Migos’ unsung hero, Takeoff, has come through with his debut single, “The Last Memory”, off of his debut album, The Last Rocket. With production from MonstaBeatz, “The Last Memory” is a sound representation of Takeoff’s solo abilities, and piques keen curiosity for his solo album–due out next Friday, November 2nd.
