The 51st Grammy Awards were to a certain degree filled with a fair bit of drama last night. Would M.I.A go into labor as she performed her track Paper Planes alongside the Rap Pack as they did their Swagga Like Us Verison? Her actual due date was yesterday but thankfully it didn’t happen. Would Lil Wayne win all eight of the Grammy Awards he was up for? No but he would walk away with 50% of them. Did anyone expect the absence of Chris Brown and Rihanna due to an altercation between the couple that resulted in Rih Rih with a black eye and Breezy having to cough up $50,000 bail money? I doubt it very much however I am sure Rick Ross is enjoying the spotlight on someone else for a brief minute. Wasn’t it great to see the standing ovation JHud got from the audience when she went to collect her award for Best R&B album? Hell yeah it was. Personally I think the highlight of the night was the performance by Jigga, TI, Kanye and Weezy alongside the pregnant M.I.A, although the Jay Z/Coldplay collabo was pretty cool as well.
