On Sunday July 28, 2013, the world renowned Rock Steady Crew held it’s 36th Anniversary celebration in Central Park, NYC. The event featured a reunion performance by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, as well as performances by Brand Nubian, Cormega, Special Ed, Craig G, The Arsonists, Homeboy Sandman and more. The show also featured DJ sets from DJ Premier, Tony Touch, Evil Dee, and DJ Eclipse, DJ JS-1. Of course, the highlight of the event was an incredible breakdance performance from the entire Rock Steady Crew. Click through this slideshow to see all of the highlights of that day’s event. With Smoke DZA and Pete Rock's full-length collabo, Don't Smoke Rock, dropping tomorrow, the New York duo has released a new visual via Complex. The site also premiered an exclusive stream of the album.
Smoke DZA and Pete Rock enlisted MMG boss Rick Ross for the latest single from the duo's highly-anticipated album Don't Smoke Rock. "Black Superhero Car" was premiered by the FADER who rightfully said "It's as New York a record can get in 2016."
With Smoke DZA and Pete Rock's collabo album on the horizon, the New York duo is showing no signs of slowing down. Today, the Don't Smoke Rock collective premiered a soulful track entitled "Milestone" featuring Jadakiss, Styles P and BJ the Chicago Kid via Complex.
Every Wednesday, the show has a special guest, and today the Chocolate Boy Wonder came on set to talk sports with the crew.
