iHipHop.com kicked off the weekend in Manhattan at the Whitney Museum of Art where the ten-piece psychedelic soul group, King Holiday, was on hand for a live performance / exhibit entitled ‘Bloo Voyage,’ as part of the SmokeForBlues festival. iHipHop then made its way to Brooklyn for Covert TV’s rooftop launch party where Hood Chef cooked up some excellent BBQ for those in attendence. Once a year, Austin, TX transforms into the music capital of the world during the annual SXSW Music Festival. This year was no exception, as fans in attendance were able to experience countless live performances from sunrise to sunset each day, with numerous showcases and lively parties throughout the city. Amidst all of the amazing showcases, ridiculous parties and crowded streets, iHipHop was on-hand to capture all of the weeks’ events. On March 6, 2013 Bodega BAMZ (TANBOYS) and A$AP Twelvy, performed at Santos Party House. The event, which was presented by Noisey, featured guest appearances from Flatbush Zombies, N.O.R.E., Willie HEX, A$AP Nast, A$AP Illz, and more. Also on hand were Black Dave and Kyle Rapps. On January 31, 2013, Atlanta sensation Trinidad James headlined Hot 97’s Who’s Next Live at New York’s SOB’s. The show was hosted by Peter Rosenberg and Shani Kulture and also included performances from Vinny Cha$e, Danse, and SNL (Shaq N Livin). All photos by Bernard Smalls.

On November 20th, 2012 Curren$y, Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy and the entire Jet Life crew were on hand to celebrate the release of “Jet World Order 2” at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. On Wednesday May 30, 2012, Travis Porter, the trio from Decatur, Georgia, held the release party for their debut album, “From Day 1” at Greenhouse in New York City. The event featured guest performances from Elle Varner and Da Youngfellaz. Valerie Lora, DJ Self and Kazeem Famuyide were among the guests in attendance. On Wednesday May 23, 2012, 1982, the producer/MC duo of Statik Selektah and Termanology, held a listening party for their new album “2012.” The event was hosted by Bun B and featured guest performances from Lil Fame and REKS..
