Following their successful 2019 ensemble album, You Can’t Sit With Us, Pivot Gang, the Saba-led Chicago-based hip-hop group, has returned with some brand new music. Packaged as a two-single offering, Two Piece Tour Pack, featuring “SoHo Freestyle” and “Houdini,” the fresh tracks recruit fellow cerebral MCs Kota The Friend on the former and theMIND on the latter.
While Pivot Gang is a nine-member group, their long-standing friendships foster a communal vibe to their music, denying artistic narcissism in favor of reaching their musical potential, of creating the best product. And even with the additions of Kota and theMIND, who are like-minded artists relative to Pivot Gang, their presence fuels this collaborative spirit.
