K’Naan “T.I.A”

The imagery just keeps you locked into what’s going on.  K’Naan kind of came out of no where to create a really unique sound that was lacking in hip-hop.  It’s rap, it’s reggae, it’s African, well it’s good music.  This was my favorite song off his album, Troubadour, in stores now.  Also be sure to watch my interview with K’Naan here.

Exile is kind of the man.  If you haven’t copped his album with Blu, Below The Heavens, do me a favor and kill yourself.  The shit is just classic.  Don’t feel ashamed for being late to the game.  I copped the thing like 6 months ago.  Blu is the wittiest rapper out right now.  Hands down.  Anyway this is the boy Exile getting it in at Fat Beats in LA.  Also be on the lookout for Fashawn‘s album, Boy Meets World, entirely produced by Exile.  I might as well shamelessly promote my interview with FashawnCheck it out here.

Malice back at it on the ill vlogging tip.  He kind of over complicates things on this one, but the message is good.  All the Bible quotes completely threw me off.  Why do you need Bible quotes when you have Malice quotes?  “The reason why I took the girls horseback riding is basically because I feel these horses can be  a little intimidating, so what I think it does is help the girls build some type of character and gives them some kind of self-esteem.  Helps them from becoming all timid and shy, so in the future when that handsome young man walks up to them with a pocket full of cash.  They don’t get all gullible and story eyed and start fucking for handbags.”  So true.  That’s my main problem with a lot of women.  Their priorities can be all fucked up.

These Radio Planet planet videos are dope.  I mean they make Tony Yayo look good.  I think it’s because Dan The Man directs them all.  That “ABC” video he did for P is just on a completely different level then everything else.

I’m not going to even really get into my opinion on the whole Asher Roth “Nappy Headed Hoes” comment.  I thought it was completely blown out of proportion.  He shouldn’t have said it, but we shouldn’t have wasted our time reacting to it.  Either way Jay Smooth from ill doctrine chopped it up with Dan Charnas formerly of The Source Magazine and Def America about the whole situation, and I thought his perspective was dope.  Check it out.

Finally, I don’t usually like to get caught up in stupid shit like this, but Jessica Biel is naked and pouring hot wax on herself in this video.  I repeat Jessica Biel is naked and pouring hot wax on herself.  This doesn’t make hip-hop good.  Just life.
