Why Rappers Need To Try And Be More Like Tech N9ne As Opposed To Jay-Z

MTV did this really dope feature on Tech N9ne’s Strange Music conglomerate.  To make a long story short.  Tech built it ground up. Learned how to perform, created a cult fanbase, and monetized that fanbase.  Strange Music is a company that monetizes their artists brand(s).  Not just a company that monetizes the recorded music their artist make.  That’s why they are winning.

Sidebar:  Plus it helps that they are based in Kansas City.  The cost of operating a business there has to be so much lower there compared to NYC, LA & even Atlanta.
