In honor of the Wu’s upcoming 20th anniversary, the legendary clan has linked up with G-Shock to release the watch pictured above. The watch features the Killa Bees classic black and yellow colors with their signature W logo. No release date yet for this one, but we will keep you posted.
U-God, who has been in the press lately due to a rift within the Wu-Tang Clan, just debuted a new single and announced the forthcoming album Venom via Billboard.
Last month, it was reported that Wu-Tang Clan's one-of-a-kind album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, had been sold for "millions." Bloomberg has revealed the buyer's identity: Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli. Shkreli is the former hedge fund manager (and Collect Records associate) who made headlines this year for increasing the price of Daraprim—a drug used to treat AIDS and cancer patients—from $13.50 to $750. He reportedly paid $2 million for the album. Now in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Shkreli revealed that he's planning to bail out incarcerated Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda while also firing off some shots at RZA and the rap industry. You know what was a good show? Breaking Bad. Throughout its five seasons creator Vince Gilligan and company crafted some fine dramatic television centered around a struggling high school chemistry teacher producing crystallized methamphetamine to secure his family's financial future before he dies. If you have yet to see it I highly recommend it (I also suggest you quit living under a rock.) The show is such a hit that it's reviving the career of one Staten Island rapper. Method Man is a legend in his own right (check out his debut album, Tical) but let's be real: Wu-Tang Clan is finished, their latest album A Better Tomorrow is crap, and RZA has basically lost his mind. However that's not stopping M-E-T-H-O-D (MAN) from trying to jump start his career in the burgeoning 2010s. Thanks to Breaking Bad (and the subsequent popularization of methamphetamines) he's releasing a new project entitled... wait for it... The Meth Lab. Get it? Because he's Method Man and his name has a connection with meth. Well, at least he's trying something unlike GZA who's merely complaining about contemporary rap lyrics (or lack thereof.) He's also sharing the project's track title which features Hanz On and Streetlife. Check it after the jump.
Raekwon has kept silent when it comes to his highly-anticipated, forthcoming (we think?) new album F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art) but after stopping by Shade 45 he felt compelled to drop that new joint "Wall to Wall" featuring fellow NYC rapper French Montana. Check out the video after the jump!
