CMG is poised for a takeover.
It’s been over two-years since Yo Gotti’s last album, I’m Still Here. While he’s managed to stay more than relevant, both as a label head and artist, Gotti is finally ready to put his personal musical stamp on 2020, as the CMG leader will be dropping a new album this month.
Announced during his appearance at signee Moneybagg Yo’s concert, Gotti addressed the crowd, “I want to make a special announcement over here, Moneybagg … We told ’em we ’bout to drop a whole lot of CMG shit this year, right? You dropped your shit today, right? I’mma drop my album this month, too. Fuck it.”
With Moneybagg Yo delivering Time Served this past Friday (January 10th), CMG is poised for a takeover. With only two weeks left in the month, along with Yo Gotti’s promise of delivering the album this month, his new album should arrive — hopefully — within the next two-weeks.
Despite I’m Still Here dropping in October 2017, Gotti has maintained presence thanks to singles like “Put A Date On It” featuring Lil Baby. Some time this month, he’ll return in full.
