And in industry news this week:
• Album Sales Down 15% in 1st half of ’09 (compared to same period ’08)
• iMeem to launch digital music store in attempt to bolster falling revenue
The blog/social networking site also said that it has begun cutting services, and will no longer offer user-uploaded video and photos
• New Pirate Bay owners to try new business model
Sounds like they’re attempting to start a secondary market here, and sell unused bandwidth from the 20 million+ user file sharing network, and then hope that people will take that money/credit, and apply it to a “legal” download store
As always, get at me with comments, questions, requests etc. Until next week.
Peace
