NEW JOB FOR RUSSELL

With a resume that boasts founder of Def Jam, Phat Farm and the HSAN just as a taster there is very little Russell Simmons won’t turn his hand to. Flanked by his old homies, literally, Kevin Liles and LL Cool J, Russell announced that he is taking on the role of Editor-in-Chief of Global Grind, a media platform for the Hip-Hop Community known primarily for its celebrity bloggers which include the Simmons family at a press conference in NYC yesterday. It was on his blog on Global Grind that Russell Simmons spoke out against those that posted pictures of him and his various female friends (HHJ hangs her head in shame 🙂 )
On his new role with Global Grind which was launched in 2008 the Def Jam founder who was also an initial investor of the media platform said “Ever since my early days in music, through my work in fashion, comedy, film, TV and philanthropy, I have worked as a facilitator of communication, and a promoter of creativity, entrepreneurship, giving, and political engagement.
