jGersonWe already saw what happens when Odd Future meets Funny Or Die. Now we may have a chance to see an Adult Swim show produced by the California conglomerate. As a precursor to OFWGKTA’s interview with Billboard, interviewer Andrew Noz wrote:
“In the pre-buzz days, the Odd Future crew would post homemade comedy skits on their Tumblr and mention dreams of one day turning them into a show for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming. Now they’re producing a pilot for the network, which management describes as a mixture of ‘Jackass’ and ‘Chappelle’s Show.'”
Odd Future has gained a substantial buzz, which has only risen since Tyler The Creator and Hodgy Beats performed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last month. Tyler recently inked a deal with XL Recordings to release his LP, Goblin. On the topic, the group leader told Billboard, “I could be a complete failure come June….’Goblin’ could brick. Everyone could hate it. The hype could be over. I could be back to trying to fill out junior college [applications]. But I don’t see that happening. I see Grammys.” OFWGKTA’s in-house singer Frank Oceans may be on his way to the Grammy’s as he was recently seen working with Beyonce. Odd Future currently grace the cover of the March 19th issue of Billboard Magazine.
