A few years ago, Papoose was the biggest artist to come out of New York since…possibly Jay-Z. With unbelievable potential, a ridiculous flow, clever vocabulary, hilarious punchlines and a dinstinct voice, Pap was poised to bring hip-hop back to New York in a major way. He even aligned himself with heavyweights like Busta Rhymes and DJ Kay Slay to insure his rise. However, a few years, a lot of mixtapes, and a hefty fall from relevance later, Pap is apparently still making music. I have to say, I was really excited about Papoose when he first came out, and his album, Nacirema Dream, was one I was ready to shell out some cash for. But, after this long, I think I speak for all of his fans in saying I just don’t care anymore, because too much other good music has come and gone. To give Pap another chance, check out his new track “Get it Poppin Again” below, and let us know what you think. Papoose – Get it Poppin Again
