For all my underground people. Lets go.

So a few heavy weights and former heavy weights from the underground are dropping albums this week. Starting of with U God from Wu Tang dropping his solo joint “Dopium” on the 23rd. U God might be the grimiest member of Wu Tang (RIP Old Dirty Bastard). And his album displays that. I’ve been lucky enough to hear it and it is pretty banging. Beats are real good and U God just has a classic voice and flow. Peep the joint with Method Man “Wu Tang” righ. Also “Magnum Force” joint featuring Sheek Louch & Jim Jones.

.

Also dropping on the 23rd is a new Soul Assassins record. Soul Assassins is basically the Cypress Hill family tree. Alot of west coast and alot of Alchemist etc. This album is basically a compilation with DJ Muggs handling most of the production I assume. Alchemist usually contributes beats as well. The album features many heavy hitters like Bun B, M1 from Dead Prez, La Coka Nostra, Evidence, Fashawn (on fire), Outerspace, Prodigy, B Real, Planet Asia and a lot more. Check out this joint ft. Self Scientific called “Good Evening Los Angeles”. Pretty sure this is produced by Khalil (G Unit, Aftermath etc.) Also check this banger ft. RZA, Rev. William Burk, Planet Asia, & B Real “Intermission”.   Heat.

Making a comeback of sorts is Grand Puba from Brand Nubian. He’s dropping an album on the 23rd as well called Retro Active.  As usual Grand Puba keeps it nothing but funky as evidenced by the two leaked songs “This Joint Right Here” ft Kid Capri & “I See Dead People”.

Also dropping in the underground on the 23rd are albums by Krondon, Charles Hamilton (eh), DJ JS-1 and a best of Jedi Mind Tricks features album.

I wanna end this by talking about Fashawn. If you do not know who Fashawn is (for lack of a better phrase) GET FAMILIAR GOD DAMNIT. We interviewed the dude (click here to peep the video interview) and the kid could not be more humble. Please stop sleeping. This is pretty much the only rapper I’m trying to listen to right now. Here’s another bonus joint from that Soul Assassins record: Fashawn “Let Go (My Life)”. Say something.
