Released through Babygrande Records.
Two of Babygrande Records’ promising upstarts, The Yutes and Drako, have both been enjoying promising careers since signing to the New York indie label. Today, they join forces on the former’s new single, “I’m On It.”
Produced by Halfway, the layered trap production sets an energetic tone from the jump, informing the artists’ spirited vocals that continue building momentum throughout, coalescing into a uniquely-gripping track.
Babygrande seems to be in an auspicious position, as two of its focal acts have achieved independent success, and now are uniting each other’s respective talents for synergistic results.
The Yutes — Jamaican Patois Slang for “The Youth” — moved to America as wide-eyed teens set on manifesting their musical dreams. Gaining notoriety from tracks such as “Swervin” and “Push,” along with their A3C Volume 7 addition, “Trap Don Dadas,” The Yutes are well on their way towards mainstream success.
Labelmate, Drako, has been navigating his own successful musical ship since inking a deal with Babygrande in 2017. With features from Moneybagg Yo, Lil Baby, Yung Bans, and Quando Rondo on his debut mixtape, Fully Loaded, the burgeoning Atlanta artist has his own bright future to look forward to.
