Tyler, The Creator Announces New Album

Igor drops on May 17th.

Perhaps one of the oddest album roll-outs that we’ve ever seen, Tyler, The Creator’s newly-rumored project has just received a necessary injection of realism: it is confirmed, it’s name is Igor, and it will drop on May 17th. Oh, and it is entirely written, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself.

Originally announced in a leaked Sony Music 2Q19 financial report, Tyler fueled these rumors by releasing an esoteric 50-second trailer that sounded like a song preview. Now that he’s taken to his Instagram to quell any outlandish hypotheses, we know that Igor is on the immediate horizon.

In said IG post, Tyler shared what is expected to be two different album covers: one, a composite of him in a similar aesthetic as the aforementioned trailer; two, a surrealist portrait of Tyler created by Lewis Rossignol.
