The Wolf of Grape Street, 03 Greedo, is sadly serving a 20-year sentence, with eligibility for parole in five-years. But thanks to his assiduous, prolific nature, fans haven’t suffered a Greedo shortage. This past Friday, 03 and Kenny Beats released their collaborative Netflix & Deal album — Greedo’s third official project since his detainment.

A standout in 03 Greedo’s catalogue, Netflix & Deal perfectly captures his enigmatic self with its novel concept. Kenny Beats architects a bespoke soundscape inspired by a collection of iconic films that have influenced Greedo throughout his life. Including Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Paid In Full, each track’s literal and figurative references coalesce to tell the L.A. legend’s unique story.

One of the memorable Netflix & Deal is the Freddie Gibbs-assisted “Disco Shit” — an homage to Blow. Recently, Kenny released its official music video.

The William Child-directed visual is as innovative as the album. Embodying the cover art’s claymation aesthetic, the entire video is shot in this mold, as it recreates various consequential moments from Blow, painting a similar portrait of his own situation.
