Digital Domain Media Group, the company responsible for the Tupac hologram at Coachella, has filed for bankruptcy. The group, who lists director James Cameron as one of its founders, suspended trading on its shares yesterday before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Since it begun trading as a public limited company back in November 2011, its share price has dropped from $9.20 to $0.55 after accumulating $214 million worth of debt.

The company originally expected several large contracts following coachella and was planning on working on numerous blockbuster films like Pirates Of The CaribbeanTitanic and the Transformers series.
