Denzel Curry is one of the best young rappers in the game right now. I've cosigned this dude since, like, 2012 when he was kicking it with Florida's Raider Klan. His 2013 debut full length album Nostalgic 64 was one of that year's best rap albums and yet nobody paid it any attention. Now, Curry is back with a vengeance and he's spitting pure fire. Curry's latest 32 Zel / Planet Shrooms is available for stream now, which you can peep after the jump.
If you've been reading iHipHop long enough then you're certainly no stranger to my support for Miami rapper Denzel Curry. I've countlessly praised this 20-year-old ever since I was introduced to him via SpaceGhostPuurp's Raider Klan group. When Curry dropped his debut full length album Nostalgic 64 back in 2013 my interest in his music grew tenfold and although he's dropped some gems since then with tracks like "Feel Like That," "Certified," and "Ultimate" Curry has yet to put out a full-bodied work like Nostalgic 64. But that appears to be ending this coming May 26th when he's set to drop his double EP entitled 32 Zel / Planet Shrooms. Needless to say I am hyped and after hearing "Envy Me," the first official preview of the forthcoming double EP, I am definitely going to be incessantly staring at my calendar waiting for that date to finally arrive. Anyway, peep "Envy Me" after the jump!
When are we getting some new Denzel Curry? 2013's Nostalgic 64 was one of the best hip-hop records released that year. But sadly since then the Miami rapper has barely released much. Sure, Curry has given us stuff like "Feel Like That" and "Certified" but frankly I'm waiting on some full length material. Be it an album or mixtape. I don't care. And listening to Denzel Curry's new track "Ultimate" has me hyped tenfold for whatever he has in store. Hearing Curry rap over a Dixieland type beat is truly something else and judging by that artwork above Curry isn't playin' in 2015. Listen to "Ultimate" after the jump.
One of hip-hop's best kept secrets, Denzel Curry, is sharing a new loosie in "Certified" for 2015. Rumor has it Miami's hot fire triplet flow spitter Curry is plotting the release of a new album so be on the lookout for that, you wouldn't want to miss it following 2013's stellar Nostalgic 64 album. Listen to "Certified" after the jump!
Earlier this year Deniro Farrar and Denzel Curry dropped "Bow Down", a track essential for all modern day "screw" fans. Now after having announced their upcoming nationwide "Bow Down" Tour, they've dropped another collaborative track, "Feel Like That". Produced by Ryan Ryu, the track is sure to turn you way up. Give the new track a list below.
It's safe to say hip-hop isn't going anywhere anytime soon. And thankfully it doesn't have to as there is plenty of talent out there to carry the game for years to come. In addition, there's always a slew of new talent cropping up in the scene. Be it due to hard work or going viral, dozens of fresh rappers are gaining exposure every year.
